Ordering Hub · EMMA Commerce
One store. One login.
Your customers, your hosts and your distributors all arrive at the same Shopify store and get routed to what belongs to them — from a single sign-in. No second site. No second password.

The detail
How it works
Every direct sales company on Shopify ends up with the same architecture: a storefront over here, a back office over there, and an integration between them that someone built once and nobody owns.
Your distributor lives in both. Two sites, two logins, two places to check. The back office is where their business actually is, and it is the thing they are least likely to open.
And that is the simple version. Any company that adopts Shopify at scale ends up with multiple storefronts — one for the US, one for the UK, one for Australia — which means knowing which customers and which distributors live in which store, multiple catalogs to manage, potentially multiple codebases, and behind it all either one global commissions engine or several regional instances of one. Extend that to warehouses and 3PLs around the world and you have the genuinely complex integration work nobody talks about in a sales cycle. And bad integration is never just an IT problem — it surfaces directly as a bad customer and distributor experience.
Take the moment that should be the best one: somebody decides to join. In a poorly architected integration they create a customer account on the store, buy their starter kit — and wait. For the order to reach the commissions platform. For the conversion from customer to distributor. For the notification telling them to create their distributor account — at a completely different URL, where they type their personal details in again and set yet another password. That can take hours, sometimes a day. Their first experience as a distributor is a bad one, before they have made a single sale.
EMMA Commerce closes that seam because it was never opened. The Back-Office is inside the store — same sign-in, role-routed on the way in. A customer sees a shop. A host sees their party. A distributor sees their business. And joining feels like one platform end to end: sign up, buy the kit, become a distributor — without being sent somewhere else to start again. The team has been there and built exactly this at multi-market scale; we know how to extend Shopify to make the whole thing feel like a single, cohesive commerce platform.
Underneath, EMMA Commerce is built on top of Shopify — deliberately. You inherit the checkout the rest of commerce is measured against, infrastructure that auto-scales through your biggest events, and PCI DSS Level 1 security, instead of paying someone to maintain a bespoke cart that does none of it as well.
But this is not a Shopify shop. If your strategy points elsewhere, the same team rebuilds your commerce platform on whatever you choose — Shopify, WooCommerce, BigCommerce, Adobe Commerce, Salesforce Commerce, or frameworks like Medusa. The direct sales layer, and the operators behind it, come with you.
Capabilities
What it does
A checkout that converts
Built on Shopify, so every buyer lands in the checkout the rest of commerce is measured against — continuously optimized by billions of orders, with the wallets customers expect: Google Pay, Apple Pay, PayPal and more.
Scale is Shopify’s job, not yours
Product launches, month-end surges, conference-week spikes — the storefront auto-scales through your highest-volume events on the same infrastructure that carries the world’s biggest D2C brands. No capacity planning, no outage post-mortem.
PCI compliance inherited, not achieved
Card data lives with Shopify — PCI DSS Level 1 — so the hardest part of your security and compliance surface is carried by the platform, not by your team and your auditors.
Built for how direct sales actually sells
Attribution that survives the whole customer journey so the right distributor gets credited. Find-a-distributor search, party and host flows, starter kits, subscriptions. The things a generalist commerce build discovers it needs in month three.
The follow-up happens by itself
An order lands, the distributor gets an alert, Nexus ranks the follow-up and a message is drafted — end to end, in minutes, on real order flow.
Any platform you choose
EMMA Commerce is built on Shopify, but the team builds commerce platforms on WooCommerce, BigCommerce, Adobe Commerce, Salesforce Commerce and frameworks like Medusa. The choice is strategy-led — yours, not ours.
Against the category
Why it wins the category
Built on Shopify, deliberately
The foundation is the platform much of world commerce runs on: a checkout tuned by billions of orders, auto-scaling through peak events, PCI DSS Level 1 security, global payment wallets. EMMA Commerce inherits all of it on day one — none of it has to be built, maintained or audited by you.
Honest about Shopify’s limits
Out of the box, Shopify is a DTC platform — it was not designed for direct sales. Multi-store operations, account structures, payment integration and checkout configuration all have real constraints. Working around them takes deep Shopify expertise, and we bring it — every one of those constraints is something we have already engineered around in production.
The integration nobody talks about
At scale it is never one store: it is storefronts per market, catalogs per storefront, one commissions engine or several regional instances, and warehouses and 3PLs around the world. Every seam between them is somewhere a customer or distributor can fall through — the new joiner re-registering at a different URL a day after buying their kit. We have built this integration at multi-market scale, and the test we build to is simple: it all has to feel like one platform.
Shopify expertise alone is not enough
The hard part is not the platform — it is what distributors demand of a platform: attribution that credits the right person every time, genealogy-aware programs, host and party mechanics, a field watching earnings in real time. Solving Shopify’s constraints correctly requires knowing which direct sales behaviors must survive them. That takes people who live and breathe this industry.
You are not paying us to learn your industry
Most agencies will claim direct sales experience. What they mean is that they will learn it — on your budget, through your field, one misstep at a time. We have been there, done that, and operated it at scale. The expertise arrives on day one and goes straight into what matters: maximum ROI for the company and for the field.
The platform is your choice
If Shopify is not your strategy, the direct sales layer and the operators come to the platform you prefer — WooCommerce, BigCommerce, Adobe Commerce, Salesforce Commerce, or a framework like Medusa. The expertise is in direct sales commerce, not in one vendor’s stack.

Side by side, without the names.
What the category typically ships against what EMMA Commerce ships — capability by capability.

|---|---|---|
| Checkout | Shopify’s — continuously optimized by billions of orders | A bespoke cart your vendor maintains |
| Peak events | Auto-scales through launches, month end and conference spikes | Pre-provisioned capacity, sized by guesswork |
| Security & compliance | PCI DSS Level 1, inherited from Shopify | Your audit, your burden |
| Payments | Global wallets — Google Pay, Apple Pay, PayPal and more | Whatever was integrated, once |
| Direct sales attribution | Native — survives the whole customer journey | A custom build, relearned per project |
| Parties, hosts, kits, subscriptions | First-class from day one | Discovered in month three |
| Back office | Inside the store, one sign-in | A second site and an integration seam |
| Multi-market reality | One cohesive platform across storefronts, engines, warehouses and 3PLs | Integrations multiplied per store, per region |
| Becoming a distributor | Sign up, buy the kit, start selling — without leaving the store | Re-register at another URL, hours or a day later |
| Platform choice | Shopify, WooCommerce, BigCommerce, Adobe, Salesforce, Medusa | The one stack the agency knows |
| Who builds it | Operators who have run direct sales at scale | Generalists learning direct sales on your budget |
The category
Agencies build the storefront. The back office is someone else’s problem.
The implementation category for direct sales on modern commerce is the agency build: a storefront constructed from scratch, then bolted to a separate back office — two sites, two logins, and an integration seam nobody owns.
EMMA Commerce starts from a complete, working platform instead — commerce and back office designed as one, single sign-on through the store, every role routed to its own experience. Because a build starts roughly 70% complete and is extended to your programs with AI-accelerated development, standard implementations go live in two to four months at a total cost far below a from-scratch agency build.
The team engineers and operates multi-market commerce at production scale today — 24 countries on nine storefronts for a global direct seller.
