Stop building dashboards that don't give you answers.
Most companies answer a question by commissioning another dashboard, then maintaining it forever. The analysts become a reporting queue and the insight never arrives.
The problem
Hundreds of dashboards, and still nobody can answer the question.
Every reporting platform grows the same way. Someone needs an answer, so a dashboard gets built. The question changes slightly, so another one gets built. Nobody deletes the first. Within a few years there are hundreds, most are stale, and the only people who can actually interrogate the data are the two analysts everyone is waiting on.
The cost is not the dashboards. It is the questions that never get asked because asking is too slow to be worth it.
The change
Ask, refine, act.
A business user asks a question in plain language, sees the answer, realizes it was not quite the right question, and asks a better one. That loop is where insight actually comes from — and it is the loop a dashboard cannot support.
Start from the warehouse you already have
You do not need to replace your data platform to do this. Years of work have gone into modelling your data and getting it into the warehouse, and none of that investment is lost — AI sits on top of what you have already built and makes it answerable.
Make the data askable
The work is in the semantics — teaching the model what your tables actually mean, what a "partner" is, which revenue figure is the one people use. That is where these projects succeed or quietly fail.
Put it in front of the business
Not a data-team tool. The point is that a commercial lead asks their own question at the moment they have it, instead of joining a queue.
Keep the dashboards that earn their place
Some dashboards are genuinely useful and should stay. Most exist because someone asked a question once. The ones that stay become the start of an investigation rather than the end of it — see something, ask about it, and keep asking until you understand it.
In practice
What this looks like at Juice Plus+
The business runs on Snowflake and Power BI, and that stays. What changes is who can use it: Claude sits on top so business users query the data directly rather than commissioning another report.
The style will be familiar from EMMA: the same plain-language question-and-answer Nexus gives a field, happening internally — for the people running the company.
